Organizers behind Somewhere Festival & Conference have officially announced the return of the groundbreaking music and arts gathering, set for September 25–26, 2026, throughout Downtown Wichita. Now entering its third year, the event has quickly emerged as one of the region’s most vital platforms for creativity, community connection, and cultural impact.
The announcement follows the resounding success of the 2025 edition, which welcomed more than 15,000 attendees from 31 states and six countries, uniting hundreds of artists, community leaders, and change-makers in a one-of-a-kind celebration of Wichita’s creative spirit.
Held across multiple venues and public spaces, the 2025 festival featured:
Anchored by headlining performances from Deadmau5, Flying Lotus, Suki Waterhouse, BigXthaPlug, and Aloe Blacc with 2ŁØT, the 2025 edition delivered immersive experiences across music, visual art, dance, skate culture, and social change. Meanwhile, the adjacent conference featured compelling sessions on mental health, tour routing, branding, artist advocacy, and creative entrepreneurship, led by voices from Billboard, Blackbird Studio, NPR, and more.

Festival-goers widely praised the event as a welcoming and inclusive space that transcended neighborhoods, industries, and backgrounds — creating real opportunities for dialogue, self-expression, and collaborative innovation.
Produced by Movement Musick and Breakaway, Somewhere Festival & Conference is part of a broader creative mission designed to uplift artists, empower communities, and redefine what’s possible through culture. That mission continues to grow through new initiatives like Somewhere in Winter, Wichita’s first downtown holiday festival and ice rink experience launching this November.
Looking ahead, the 2026 edition promises expanded programming, deeper local partnerships, and bold new collaborations that further strengthen Wichita’s position as a year-round destination for creativity and community-powered progress.
