Bristol Rhythm’s Silver Jubilee of Sound
Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion returns to State Street on September 11–13, 2026, marking a major milestone—25 years of music, community, and Appalachian spirit. What once began as “the little festival that could” has grown into one of America’s most beloved roots gatherings, transforming Historic Downtown Bristol and rekindling regional pride across Tennessee and Virginia.
Launched in 2001 by a small group of dreamers with a grassroots vision, the festival quickly became a homecoming—drawing friends, families, and artists back to the birthplace of country music each September. Over two and a half decades, the streets of Bristol have echoed with songs that cross generations and borders. Inspiration runs deep here, and the memories made at Rhythm & Roots have become part of the fabric of the community.
In 2026, the festival celebrates a quarter-century of love, belonging, and the music that binds us all. As the organizers put it: come on home.
SILVER ANNIVERSARY THEME
The 25th anniversary artwork is rich with symbolism, paying tribute to the stories, landmarks, and heritage that define Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion. Within the detailed linework, fans will spot guitars, gramophones, floral motifs, the iconic State Street corridor, and a reimagined Bristol Sign. The symmetrical structure and supporting hands evoke unity across both sides of the state line, while branches and blooms represent how the festival has grown from humble roots into a flourishing, statewide celebration.
For 25 years, Rhythm & Roots has remained grounded in the hills, hollers, and historic downtown blocks that make Bristol, TN/VA a cultural landmark. This year’s artwork honors that legacy—and looks ahead with gratitude and optimism.

Available for a short time only, this Comfort Colors unisex long-sleeve shirt features a custom Bristol-inspired tattoo design by Justin Brown of The Bristol Tattoo Company.
