Jamaica Strong Benefit Concert Announced for December 12, 2025 at UBS Arena

All-Star Jamaica Strong Relief Concert Lineup

In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on Jamaica, a massive all-star relief effort is coming to New York. Grammy Award-winning artist Shaggy, through his Make a Difference Foundation, has partnered with Jamaica Strong NYC, Jammins Event, Irie Jam Media, and Roadblock Radio LLC to present the Jamaica Strong Benefit Concert on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the UBS Arena in Queens, New York.

Promoters say the goal is ambitious — and necessary.

Co-producer George Crooks stated, “Our goal is to make at least a million dollars for the Jamaica Strong Relief Concert. That is the minimum we’re looking for at this event.”

Kacy Rankine, CEO of Roadblock Radio, emphasized the collective strength behind the initiative:

“This is New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania pooling our resources. We’re going to send something big to Jamaica.”

The benefit will bring together some of the most influential voices in reggae, dancehall, gospel, and Caribbean music, including:

Shaggy • Sean Paul • KES • Inner Circle • Ky-Mani Marley • Tessanne Chin • Aidonia • Chronic Law • T.O.K. • Gramps Morgan • Richie Stephens • Mikey Spice • Marcia Griffiths • I-Octane • Kevin Downwell

Several additional artists are expected to be announced.

Aiesha Barrett’s single “Jamaica Strong” — now surpassing 1 million views across Facebook and Instagram — has been selected as the official theme of the event. Barrett, daughter of Wailers legend Aston “Familyman” Barrett and niece of drummer Carlton “Carly” Barrett, spoke about its emotional origin:

“When Hurricane Melissa hit, I was overwhelmed by the images and messages from home. ‘Jamaica Strong’ became my way of giving hope back to the island.”

Veteran vocalist Richie Stephens will also bring a deeply personal performance to the stage, debuting a tribute piece titled “Hurricane”.

“This is the biggest hurricane to ever make landfall on our island Jamaica,” Stephens shared. “I plan to perform the song for patrons on December 12.”

Produced under the I Love Jamaica Concert Series and in partnership with the Government of Jamaica, the benefit will directly support the official Hurricane Relief & Recovery Fund along with other registered charities assisting families, housing, agriculture, infrastructure, schools, and long-term community restoration.

Net proceeds will be transparently distributed to approved beneficiaries.
