Sweetwater Music Hall – 19 Corte Madera Avenue, Mill Valley, CA 94941 | 415-388-3850
For more than five decades, Sweetwater Music Hall has been a cornerstone of Mill Valley’s live music community, an intimate room where generations of Bay Area players, songwriters, and improvisers have stretched out, collaborated, and given back. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization founded in 1972, Sweetwater presents all genres of music while keeping its focus on community, accessibility, and the transformative power of live performance.
This upcoming stretch of shows is especially rich for fans of the Grateful Dead universe and its extended family. The calendar features a Terrapin Family Band Holiday Show, a night of Jerry and Dawg Revisited with Stu Allen, and a Moonalice Sunday Matinee, all alongside a sold-out Music Heals International Annual Benefit Concert that brings together Ivan Neville, Jackie Greene, Jay Lane, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, and more for a New Orleans-meets-Haiti celebration in support of music education. Wrapped around these Dead-adjacent highlights is a full slate of folk, jazz, hip hop, bluegrass, holiday tributes, and family events that showcase just how diverse Sweetwater’s programming has become.
As always, doors open one hour before showtime, events are all ages, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Listings are updated weekly, so fans are encouraged to check the latest information or learn more about memberships and donations at sweetwatermusichall.org/donate.
