Fresh off his annual year-ending shows in New York City with Gov’t Mule—a run that found him reaching for three iconic guitars from the 1970s—GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, producer, and Mule frontman Warren Haynes has released his new single “I’ll Be The One”, the latest offering from the forthcoming re-mixed and re-mastered version of his debut solo studio album, Tales of Ordinary Madness.

Set for release January 30 via Megaforce Records, the new expanded 12-track edition (including one bonus song not included on the original) was produced by Chuck Leavell and co-produced by Haynes, re-mixed by Jim Scott at Plyrz Studios, and re-mastered by Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound. The 2026 edition also includes the previously released single “Fire In the Kitchen.”

When Tales of Ordinary Madness first arrived in March 1993, Warren Haynes—then a full-time member of The Allman Brothers Band—introduced himself as a solo artist with a collection that balanced soulful songwriting and powerful guitar work against a wide-open palette of rock, blues, and soul. Upon release, Rolling Stone called it “a powerful solo debut,” while AllMusic singled out Haynes’ vocal performance as the project’s lasting impact. Those early assessments have only grown more relevant over the last three decades as Haynes’ standing as one of the era’s most lauded straight-ahead lead guitarists has continued to solidify.

Haynes will support the release on the road with his Winter of Warren 2026 Tour. The outing begins in February with a rare, intimate solo run: stripped-down, two-set evenings where it’s just Warren and his guitar, exploring every corner of his catalog—songs from Gov’t Mule, his solo releases, and The Allman Brothers Band—mixing hits and deep cuts with the music that shaped his sound.

The 11-date solo tour runs February 12–26 and includes a standout engagement at the new Blue Note Los Angeles (February 17 & 18), featuring two shows per night. After the solo dates, the Warren Haynes Band reconvenes for a short headlining stretch from March 1–7, including a newly announced appearance at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, as part of the venue’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

Following Winter of Warren, Haynes and his Mule bandmates—who just marked their 50th performance at NYC’s famed Beacon Theatre on New Year’s Eve—will play a handful of spring headlining dates starting March 27 in Denver at Mission Ballroom, then head out this summer for co-headlining shows with blues-rock titan Joe Bonamassa from July 29 through August 16.

In September 2025, Haynes released The Whisper Sessions, a stripped-down companion to his 2024 solo album Million Voices Whisper. Both albums, available via Fantasy Records, were produced by Haynes and feature longtime ABB bandmate Derek Trucks on multiple tracks—one a searing, full-bodied blues-rock statement, the other an intimate counterpart that spotlights the soulful voice, masterful guitar work, and storytelling at the core of Haynes’ songwriting.
