TOURING IS A FAMILY AFFAIR FOR THE ICONIC MULTI GRAMMY WINNING ARTIST CYRIL NEVILLE

The Crescent and Emerald Cities have musically aligned. Big plans have been in the works ever since the historic congregation of Black fronted artists at 2025 Black & Loud Fest sparked an ongoing collaboration between Cyril Neville and Cameron Lavi-Jones of King Youngblood. Starting on February 5th at Villar Center in Beaver Creek, CO, those well-laid plans come to fruition as Cyril Neville with Omari Neville & The Fuel and King Youngblood begin a U.S. tour.

Says Neville, “This is really the Magical Musical Medicine For the Soul Tour. Traveling with my son Omari is a dream. Cameron is a brilliant artist, activist, and leader. It is an honor to work with him and his band. Mentoring my guys on tour is the best possible way we can all celebrate Mardis Gras across America this February 2026.”

Cyril Neville’s career has had a significant resurgence in 2025. A new behind the scenes team and a brand-new album have redefined his living legend place on the world stage. As one of the founding fathers of the New Orleans signature funky soul, rock, jazz sound, Neville has influenced countless artists and entertained millions of fans over his 5-decade career and is a recipient of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Not everyone can come to Jazz Fest – to which Neville returns to his rightful place on the main stage this year – or Mardi Gras in New Orleans so Cyril is bringing New Orleans to some of his favorite parts of America this February.

Neville’s new album Don’t Wait Til I’m Gone, produced by Neville and trumpet player Shamarr Allen will be release on Friday April 17, 2026, a week before Jazz Fest. The lead up includes singles “Lemonade” written by Shamarr and Cyril, Sunrise on the River written by Cyril and New Orleans all-star Irvin Mayfield and the title track Don’t Wait Til I’m Gone written by Cyril and his brother, the legendary Aaron Neville.

Cyril Neville is the first to say his alignment with Cameron Lavi-Jones and King Youngblood is part of the Black and Loud movement founded by Lavi-Jones. Black and Loud Fest celebrates Black Artists creating music beyond the typical “Black Music” genres. This movement gained steam with the addition of Black and Loud New Orleans in April 2025 at the House of Blues New Orleans featuring Cyril Neville, the Uptown Ruler himself, and his son Omari Neville and the Fuel, while giving King Youngblood an opportunity to debut in New Orleans in a big way.

Explains Lavi-Jones, “This Soul Junction Tour – the first Black and Loud branded tour – is the logical next step for King Youngblood and the Neville Family’s alignment while elevating Black and Loud as a national brand. Cyril, Omari and I wrote a song called “Soul Junction” at Black and Loud Fest Seattle 2025. It was incredible – our voices blended so well; the energy was pure magic. After that, we three just said more of this please!” Adds Cyril, “Touring with King Youngblood is perfect because my roots are just as much in rock as they are in the funky soul sound of the Neville Brothers, The Meters, The Uptown Rulers and of course the Wild Tchoupitoulas. I feel blessed to be part of this Black and Loud Movement and given a chance to fully change it up and get down with these young people, especially Cameron because he is the artist to watch – he is the future. They talked me into co-writing Soul Junction and now it will be the finale song for this tour and beyond.”

King Youngblood is also celebrating a plethora of newness – unleashing new music, new videos, new multimedia projects, fresh merch, and bold social justice initiatives. Led by founder, bandleader, and guitarist, Cameron Lavi-Jones, this young band have built their reputation on electrifying, take-no-prisoners’ performances, intentional songwriting, and fearless leadership championing alternative Black artists. The band is promoting their new album Afrothunda II – the soundtrack for their Afrothunda comic book series – releasing in February 2026. A commanding voice both onstage and off, Lavi-Jones has emerged as a generational voice in the fight for social justice and authenticity in art. King Youngblood is receiving the torch of Seattle’s grunge and alt-rock legacy. They’re reclaiming rock’s roots with thunderous precision, focused afro-punk energy, and a live show that leaves crowds breathless.
