In a world that rarely slows down, Rina Rain offers a gentle invitation to pause, breathe, and return to presence. The Bay Area–based meditation guide and mantra artist has released a new single and accompanying video, “Om Mani Padme Hum,” a tranquil devotional work rooted in ancient wisdom and spacious modern sound.
The track continues Rain’s practice of blending soulful vocals, sacred Sanskrit mantras, and minimal, contemplative soundscapes. Built on slow, steady repetition, “Om Mani Padme Hum” unfolds patiently, allowing the listener to settle into stillness before gradually rising in rhythmic intensity—mirroring the inner journey from awareness to insight.
“The track is a mantra whose ancient wisdom continues to deepen the longer I sit with it,” Rain shares. “The union of the jewel in the lotus represents compassion, love, and wisdom, and each time I return to this Sanskrit phrase it guides me toward inner freedom. The slow, steady repetition opens space for presence and insight, eventually rising into a faster rhythm—a realization that the jewel we seek has always been within us.”
She adds that recording the piece felt less like performance and more like communion. “When I recorded this track, I truly felt as if I were singing into the vastness, into the quiet of the void, where sound, thought, and feeling slowly dissolved into silence.”
“Om Mani Padme Hum” is the second release from Rain’s forthcoming album Whispers of Rain, a project created as a space for contemplation, devotion, and deep peace. The album follows her debut track, “Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu,” a mantra offering blessings for the well-being of all beings everywhere. That song, Rain says, was the piece that first opened both her voice and her heart.
Her growing catalog also includes “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha,” a Buddhist mantra invoking Green Tara, the embodiment of compassion in action, traditionally practiced for protection from fear and liberation from suffering. Across all of her work, Rain’s music functions not as entertainment, but as a threshold—an entry point into presence, breath, and quiet transformation.
For more than twenty years, Rina Rain has held space for healing through mindfulness training, coaching, and creative expression. Her mantra recordings reflect that lived experience: simple, spacious, and deeply intentional. Each chant unfolds like a soft prayer, grounded as much in the silence between the notes as in the sound itself.
“Om Mani Padme Hum” is now available on streaming platforms, with the official video offering a visual extension of the song’s meditative atmosphere.
