On the edge of Lyons, Colorado—less than an hour from Denver International Airport—lies a little piece of magic wrapped in the St. Vrain River and blessed by the music gods. It’s called the Planet Bluegrass Ranch, and every July, Festivarians far and wide make their pilgrimage to the ranch for the gathering known as RockyGrass.
Much like its bigger—albeit slightly younger—sibling, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the greatest acts in acoustic music have all taken the RockyGrass stage over the past five decades, building a reputation as one of the most intimate, accessible, and beloved festival experiences in the country.
This year promises more of the same magic. From July 24–26, 2026, RockyGrass returns to the ranch, where kids will be knee-deep in the river while subconsciously building a lifelong love for stringbands, adventurous Festivarians who’ve sampled every on-site food vendor will stroll into town for a Lyons lunch break, and world-class musicians will gather on the hand-hewn stage, framed by red rocks and a few thousand of their biggest fans.
It’s the premier bluegrass pickers’ gathering in the West—and now is the time to secure your spot for you, your friends, or your family.
Tickets and camping passes for RockyGrass 2026 are on sale now. Fair warning: RockyGrass tickets and camping options traditionally sell out, often before the lineup is even announced. If this is the year for your first pilgrimage to the ranch, leap while the getting is good.
