Pat Metheny has never seemed content to stay in one lane for long—his music keeps moving forward, and so does the company he keeps. Today, the 20-time GRAMMY-winning guitarist and composer shared a new single, “Don’t Look Down,” offering the first fresh glimpse into Side-Eye III+, his forthcoming album due February 27 via his newly launched imprint Uniquity Music, in partnership with Primary Wave.
The release marks Metheny’s first major studio album in six years and the latest chapter of his Side-Eye project—an ongoing collaboration concept built around spotlighting and performing with the next generation of standout musicians.
Pat Metheny’s Side-Eye III+ features Chris Fishman (keyboards) and Joe Dyson (drums), the core trio behind the Side-Eye ensemble that has toured internationally in recent years. A worldwide tour is set to launch in 2026, including a Colorado stop at Boulder Theater on April 7.

For Front Range readers, that April Boulder date lands right in the heart of Metheny’s spring run—one stop on an extensive North American stretch before the tour heads overseas for a long European leg. Full dates are listed below.
As always, we’ll be keeping an ear on how Pat Metheny continues to evolve this Side-Eye chapter—and how the new material sits alongside the deep catalog that’s made him one of the most distinctive voices in modern music.
