The initial rollout of the 2026 High Sierra Music Festival lineup is here, and it’s a reminder of why this Northern California gathering has remained one of the most beloved and musically adventurous festivals in the country. Set for July 2–5, 2026 in Grass Valley, California, the 34th annual High Sierra once again leans into its long-standing tradition of genre-blurring bills, deep collaborations, and community-driven energy.
Leading the initial lineup is The Word, the powerhouse collaboration featuring John Medeski, Robert Randolph, North Mississippi Allstars, and Ray Ray Holloman, joined by Don Was & The Pan Detroit Ensemble and the legendary funk collective Cymande. From there, the bill stretches comfortably across funk, jam, roots, indie, and exploratory sounds — a hallmark of High Sierra’s curatorial identity.
As always, this is only the beginning. More artists, collaborations, and late-night surprises are expected as the summer weekend approaches.
