William Clark Green has released a spirited new track, “Man On The Moon,” offering the latest glimpse into his forthcoming album Watterson Hall, due out March 6 via his independent label Bill Grease Records.
Right out of the gate, “Man On The Moon” launches with a fiery guitar riff and impassioned vocal harmonies before settling into a buoyant groove that carries the song forward. At its core, the track reflects the desire to step away from the pressure, noise, and chaos of everyday life and reconnect with what truly matters.
“‘Man on the Moon’ is just about gettin’ away from it all for a while—shutting out the noise, finding a private, intimate spot, and soaking it in with someone who means something to you,” says Green. “No plans, no pressure, just a night that feels right. Sometimes that’s all you need—me, her, and the man on the moon.”
Watterson Hall marks Green’s seventh studio album and stands as his most personal and revealing work to date. Following more than 15 years of writing, performing, and building a devoted fanbase, the Eastland, Texas native enters a new creative chapter shaped by marriage, fatherhood, and lived experience. The album leans into themes of love, loss, resilience, and joy, all delivered with Green’s signature wit and emotional honesty.
Recorded live in Nashville with producer Logan Wall, Watterson Hall captures a sense of immediacy and warmth throughout its performances. The result is a collection that balances grit and reflection, offering a deeper, more expansive view of William Clark Green as both an artist and storyteller.
“Man On The Moon” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
