There’s an odd peace in which a swampy country music legend like Tony Joe White lives alongside a pair of self-described desert disco DJ mescaleros, Flying Mojito Bros. Something about the pairing just makes sense. Thankfully, Jody White—Tony Joe’s son and official archivist—saw an oasis vision of mashing the two entities together. And the result? An absolutely undeniable chemistry.
“Working from the rich musical seam of mid 1970s, early 1980s heritage artists lies at the very heart of our DJ and production work as Flying Mojito Bros,” says the duo. “And we hold no one in higher esteem than The Swamp Fox himself, Mr. Tony Joe White.” Today, Flying Mojito Bros and the Tony Joe White Estate released “Alligator Stomp”, the first single from their upcoming project, The Swamp Fox—out March 13.
“We distinctly remember being sat on the couch at Tony Joe White HQ in Nashville at the first of several late nights spent there with his son Jody listening to the phenomenal amount of archival reel-to-reel recordings—and he drops this badassness,” say Flying Mojito Bros, Ben Chetwood and Jack Sellen, about “Alligator Stomp.” “We were thunderstruck. It was literally dream material right from the get-go.” From the very first bar of the song, White’s funky guitar presence is right out front, riding a freight train of pulsing kick drum and galloping bass, creating a vibe that’s all new, but somehow feels like it was always meant to be—ready to bring the swamp to Ibiza or the dancefloors to the bayou.
Yesterday, Holler. premiered “Alligator Stomp,” proclaiming that Flying Mojito Bros are “taking these songs back to the dancefloor where they belong.” Fans can stream or purchase “Alligator Stomp” today at this link.
Flying Mojito Bros will be spinning a special set at Nashville’s Skinny Dennis on March 14 to celebrate the release of The Swamp Fox. A full list of tour dates can be found below or at flyingmojitobros.com.

Across five decades as a performer and storyteller, Tony Joe White—also known as “The Swamp Fox”—left an indelible mark on American music. His catalog offers indisputable classics such as “Polk Salad Annie” and “Rainy Night in Georgia,” and his songs have been recorded by Ray Charles, Kenny Chesney, Waylon Jennings, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, and Tina Turner.
These two London lads have been operating at the intersection of desert rock, cosmic country, and modern dance music for over ten years, channeling classic American songwriting into disco, acid house, and forward-facing club rhythms. Celebrated for a sound that looks beyond soul and funk toward deeper Americana influences, they’ve earned praise from across the music spectrum—Live For Live Music named them “the most credible & inventive party people on the scene,” while Lauren Laverne, Diplo, and Phish have all publicly backed their edits and DJ sets. Their shows, built largely from original reworks and unreleased material, have lit up Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Pikes Ibiza, Stagecoach, and late-night festival stages worldwide, alongside residencies at The Social, Spiritland, and Nobu.
In 2025, they released their debut original album, Just Passing Through, on Ubiquity Records, surpassing one million streams, landing Top 10 album recognition from KEXP, and selling out headline dates across the U.S. Upcoming highlights include Jam Cruise 2026 and the March 2026 release of The Swamp Fox, their collaborative album with Tony Joe White.
