Deadheads of all ages can gather this weekend in Denver as The Rock and Roll Playhouse brings its beloved family concert series to the Bluebird Theater for a special celebration of the music of the Grateful Dead.
Music of the Grateful Dead & More for Kids takes place Saturday, February 21 with an 11:00am show at the Bluebird Theater (3317 E. Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80206). The performance is all ages and designed for the whole family to move, play, and sing along.
The Rock and Roll Playhouse’s live concert series blends games, movement, and storytelling, encouraging kids to experience classic music in an interactive and welcoming environment. As noted by The New York Times, the concerts allow kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon.”
From Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Phish, David Bowie, Prince, Aretha Franklin, and Dave Matthews Band to the Grateful Dead and beyond, The Rock and Roll Playhouse introduces the next generation to timeless songs while providing early music exposure and fostering creativity.
Families looking for a weekend activity that blends Colorado’s deep jam-band culture with a kid-friendly atmosphere will find this show a perfect fit. It’s a chance to pass the music down, one sing-along at a time.
