Toadies & Friends, The String Cheese Incident, And Panchiko Added To The Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater’s Opening Season

Just a couple of weeks ago, Kessler Presents, the team behind the revival of the legendary Longhorn Ballroom, announced the grand opening of Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater, with upcoming La Mafia, Mt. Joy, and Braxton Keith tour stops at Dallas’s new premier outdoor venue. And already, the opening-season schedule has gotten a little longer. Today, Kessler Presents announced two more shows for the Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater: Toadies & Friends on May 2nd and The String Cheese Incident on May 31st. Both acts are perennial favorites, clocking over thirty years of touring and recording, and still hitting every note, meeting fans’ expectations this deep into their respective careers. Toadies, a platinum-selling, Texas-born band known for their signature brand of mischievous rock and roll, will be joined on the outdoor stage by fellow Texans The Black Angels, Local H, and Vandoliers to celebrate the release of a brand new album. Starting things off a little earlier to account for The String Cheese Incident’s two-set, jam-fueled show, the Colorado-based sextet will close out the four-night Texas run of their Just Keep Spinning Tour at the Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater. In addition to these two events, Kessler Presents just announced that, due to demand, British rockers Panchiko are moving their Longhorn Ballroom date out to the Longhorn Backyard Amphitheater on April 18th. Additional tickets are on sale now.

For those wanting to enjoy a night out at the historic Longhorn Ballroom, don’t worry. The Longhorn Ballroom’s 2026 lineup is as lively as ever and is already going strong. Jesse Welles and Mac DeMarco have already sold out their Longhorn Ballroom tour stops, but months’ worth of world-class acts are set to take the Longhorn stage this Spring: Aimee Mann, Trampled By Turtles, Josh Ritter, Benjamin Tod, and Rhiannon Giddens, just to name a few. A full schedule for both The Backyard and Longhorn Ballroom can be found below.
