36th Annual Folks Fest takes place August 7-9 in Lyons, Colorado; Single-day tickets are now available
Rocky Mountain Folks Festival has added Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Maya de Vitry, Gabe Lee, Jobi Riccio, and more to its 2026 lineup. The 36th annual event takes place August 7-9 in Lyons, Colorado, and single-day tickets are now available.
As we inch closer to the summer season, it’s time to start deciding exactly how to spend those precious weeks of warmth. For music fans, a festival weekend should always be in the cards, but for the most discerning festivalgoers, there are a few can’t-miss, bucket-list events out there. Or, as we like to say, there are a lot of folk festivals, but only one Folks festival.
This week, promoters Planet Bluegrass added icing to the cake that is the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, a three-day festivarian gathering along the St. Vrain River in Lyons, Colorado, tailored to old heads and first-timers alike. This year’s 36th annual Folks Fest—August 7-9—features a slew of folk and Americana’s finest acts, from all-time greats to catch-them-while-you-can up-and-comers. Names like Ani DiFranco and Jesse Welles topped the previously announced lineup, and today, quite a few more have been added.
The perpetually cool, entrancing duo of Gillian Welch & David Rawlings sit newly atop the festival’s lineup, with a few other duo additions in Kristin Andreassen & Chris Eldridge, as well as Larry & Joe. Two wildly unique and vastly different voices, Maya de Vitry and Jobi Riccio, join the genre-blending Gabe Lee, the soulful singer and multi-instrumentalist-led Tony Furtado Quartet, and the uplifting tunes of Colorado-based Bonfire Dub to complete the beloved festival’s already stellar lineup for 2026. A complete Rocky Mountain Folks Festival lineup can be found below.
