Billy Bragg announces 2026 North American Tour

Billy Bragg will return to North America this summer for a newly announced tour spanning Canada and the United States, marking his first extended run of Canadian dates in more than a decade.

The tour begins June 18 in Halifax and runs through mid-July with appearances at major festivals and select headline shows along the way. Among the highlights is a special appearance at Solid Sound Festival in North Adams, Massachusetts, where Bragg will join Wilco for a first-ever live performance of songs from their acclaimed 1998 collaboration Mermaid Avenue. The landmark album set unpublished lyrics by Woody Guthrie to music and remains one of the most celebrated collaborations in modern roots music.

Supporting Bragg for the first three shows will be musician and activist Carsie Blanton whose new Red Album II was released earlier this year. The run also includes appearances at Mariposa Folk FestivalMontreal Jazz FestivalWinnipeg Folk Festival, and Ottawa Bluesfest, along with headline performances throughout Canada and the northeastern United States. More to be announced soon.

Bragg says: “It’s been over a decade since I had a run of Canadian dates, so I’m excited to be playing shows from Halifax to Winnipeg this summer – with a short excursion down to the US to play a set of Mermaid Avenue songs with Wilco at Solid Sound. Hope and empathy are in short supply at the moment so seems like a good time to reconnect.”

Tickets for headline shows go on sale Friday, March 13 at 12 PM ET via:
