Smalltown Gathering is thrilled to announce the dates and lineup for the 2nd annual installation. Now extended to three days instead of two, which means even more music (and gospel yoga) through Sunday. The festival will once again take place at Riverside Park in the heart of downtown Salida, creating the perfect backdrop for a weekend of music, connection, and nature. There will also be limited camping available at Marvin Park, less than one mile up river from the Riverside Park venue.
All yoga and workshops will take place at Riverside Park, including a full schedule of offerings led by featured instructors Gina Caputo, Mary Beth Larue, and Steph Winsor. The weekend will wrap up on Sunday with gospel yoga and live music continuing through 3 PM.
The Kids Zone will feature a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, kids yoga, and interactive Camp Coletrain acoustic music workshops for both kids and adults, led by the Coletrain Music Academy, a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to providing professional, accessible music education.
Music headliners include The California Honeydrops, Fruition, and Moontricks. After the main stage closes each night at Riverside Park, there will be late-night shows hosted at several venues around town. More info and details to follow in the coming months.
Tickets for Smalltown Gathering will be available for purchase on Thursday, March 26 at smalltowngathering.com.
Smalltown Gathering grew from Campout For The Cause. Campout for the Cause is a grassroots Colorado music festival that began in 2009, blending live music, yoga, nature, community, and sustainability. Founded by Scotty Stoughton, it features conscious music, along with yoga, workshops, music education, and outdoor activities. The festival focuses on philanthropy, supporting environmental and social causes. Originally taking place at State Bridge Lodge and Rancho Del Rio, the event has found a home in Salida, Colorado. It’s known for its intimate, family-friendly vibe and commitment to community and conscious living.
Unlike large-scale commercial festivals, Campout for the Cause has always aimed to be more intimate and intentional. Integrating the fabric of the community into all aspects of the gathering. Quality over quantity is a mantra and the festival is heralded for leaving their event spaces cleaner that they found them. Past performers have included names like Billy Strings, Elephant Revival, Fruition, Gregory Alan Isakov, The California Honeydrops, and many more.
