Goose launched their highly anticipated 2026 Spring Tour in emphatic fashion on April 3, headlining the second annual Jam in the Streets festival in downtown Athens, Georgia. Taking over Washington Street for the marquee slot, the indie-groove quartet delivered a marathon, genre-blurring performance.
Presented by Jam for Cam, the two-day festival serves as a charitable initiative supporting melanoma research, transforming the heart of Athens into a vibrant hub of music, community, and purpose. Against this backdrop, Goose delivered a set that was equal parts celebratory, exploratory, and deeply connected to the moment.
Opening with the fan-favorite “Hot Tea,” the band wasted no time settling into their signature pocket—funk-laced grooves stretched into expansive improvisation before seamlessly pivoting into the country-tinged swagger of “Flodown.” From there, Goose surged into a towering “Arcadia,” building a crescendo that set the tone for the evening’s dynamic range.
The band continued to traverse stylistic terrain with ease, weaving through the jazzy textures of “Hot Love & The Lazy Poet” and the heartfelt ballad “Madalena,” a standout from their 2025 release Chain Yer Dragon. A buoyant, fast-paced take on “Echo of a Rose” kept the momentum high, followed by “Your Direction” from the 2025 release Everything Must Go.
“Thatch” brought a dose of gritty, fuzz-driven funk, while “Hungersite” unfolded into a blissful, patient jam that highlighted Goose’s intuitive interplay. The band then surprised the Athens crowd with a playful yet soulful rendition of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” before closing the main set with the anthemic and emotive “Give It Time.”
Returning for an encore that felt anything but routine, Goose delivered a rare performance of the Grateful Dead’s “One More Saturday Night”—its first appearance in over 300 shows—sending the crowd into a frenzy. The band then launched into their own “The Empress of Organos,” embarking on a multi-part journey that seamlessly segued into “Shama Lama Ding Dong” before circling back to a triumphant reprise of “The Empress of Organos” to close the night.
Goose’s tour continues on April 10 at Asheville, NC’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena and continues through the month. The April run includes two-night stands at Fort Lauderdale, FL’s War Memorial Auditorium (April 14-15), St. Augustine, FL’s St. Augustine Amphitheatre (April 18-19), and New Orleans, LA’s Saenger Theatre (April 21-22), and a special return to Austin, TX’s Moody Center (April 24) following 2024’s sold-out New Year’s Eve shows there, as well as a festival appearance at Orlando, FL’s Florida Groves Music & Arts Festival (April 12).
From there, Goose will return to San José del Cabo for the second edition of Viva El Gonzo, taking place May 7 - 9 and presented once again by 100x Hospitality. Anchored by three consecutive nights of performances by Goose, the festival will feature sets from My Morning Jacket, Cory Wong, LP Giobbi, Jim James (Acoustic), the California Honeydrops, and more. Goose will then cross the Atlantic for a much-anticipated headline tour of Europe and the United Kingdom, kicking off with a two-night stand at London’s Electric Brixton on May 22-23, 2026. Highlights include a two-night stand at Amsterdam, NL’s Melkweg (May 27-28), a headline show at Paris, FR’s historic Élysée-Montmartre (June 1), and a top-billed festival performance at Aarhus, DK’s NorthSide 2026 (June 5).
Goose’s momentum continues into the summer with an expansive North American headline tour running from mid-June through late August, featuring some of the most ambitious routing of their career to date. The tour is highlighted by a highly anticipated two-night return to Madison Square Garden on June 19–20, alongside a series of multi-night runs in key markets including Virginia Beach, Charleston, Raleigh, Boston, Saratoga Springs, Bend, and a culminating two-night stand at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 27–28. Additional marquee plays include single-night stops at Merriweather Post Pavilion and Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, reinforcing the band’s steady ascent into premier venues nationwide. Select dates will see Goose joined by a diverse lineup of special guests—including Julian Lage, The Disco Biscuits, moe., Greensky Bluegrass, and Buffalo Traffic Jam. $1 from every ticket sold will benefit the Western Sun Foundation, supporting grassroots nonprofits in the cities the band visits.
