In a move that will resonate deeply with the jam band community and anyone who’s ever hunted for a fair ticket outside the gates, Ticketmaster has announced a new integration with CashorTrade, expanding access to verified, face value ticket resale.
For decades, the spirit of “face value or bust” has lived in parking lots, message boards, and grassroots fan networks—especially in scenes surrounding bands like Phish, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, moe., and The Disco Biscuits. With this new partnership, that ethos takes a major step into the mainstream.
The integration allows verified Ticketmaster tickets to be resold directly on CashorTrade’s fan-to-fan marketplace at face value or below—no markups, no scalping. It’s a significant expansion of Ticketmaster’s ongoing Face Value Exchange efforts, first launched in 2019 to give artists more control over resale pricing.
“Fans deserve more ways to buy and sell tickets at the original price, with confidence that what they’re getting is legitimate,” said David Marcus, EVP of Music at Ticketmaster. “By working with CashorTrade, we’re expanding face value resale in a way that gives fans more choice, and we’ll continue to support partnerships with resale platforms that operate with integrity and respect artist terms.”
Founded in 2009, CashorTrade has long been a cornerstone of the fan-driven resale movement, built on transparency, accountability, and community trust. The platform is widely embraced by artists and fans alike, offering a space where tickets stay in the hands of real music lovers—not brokers.
“What started in the parking lots as a fight for fairness has grown into something much bigger,” said Brando Rich, CEO and Co-Founder of CashorTrade. “This integration gives fans more freedom to buy and sell authenticated tickets at the artists’ original prices.”

The integration is currently available for select events, with plans to expand across more tours. For a community that has long prioritized fairness, access, and connection, this partnership signals a meaningful step forward—bringing a grassroots philosophy into a wider, verified ecosystem.
