Cory Wong Announces “Fretboard Odyssey” ft. Mark Lettieri and Ariel Posen

GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, producer, podcast host, and guitarist extraordinaire Cory Wong has announced “Fretboard Odyssey,” an unprecedented EU/UK headline tour that will see him joined by a guitar-driven, all-star lineup that includes fellow guitarists Mark Lettieri and Ariel Posen, bassist Henrik Linder, keyboardist Kevin Gastonguay, and drummer Louis Cato. The very special live run begins December 1 at Dublin, Ireland’s Vicar Street, and then travels to the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden through mid-month. Tickets for all announced dates are on sale now. For complete details and ticket availability, please see www.corywongmusic.com/tour.

“The Fretboard Odyssey is a tour I’ve had in mind for a long time,” says Cory Wong. “I’ve been lucky to explore a lot of different musical lanes over the years with Vulfpeck, The Fearless Flyers, and my own projects, but I’ve always wanted to build something that puts the guitar front and center. This tour is that. Not in a ‘guitar shred fest’ way, but more like…what happens when you put a few players together who all see the instrument differently and create a space where we can explore that in real time. Create an environment where we can write, stretch, react, and see where the music goes. The Fretboard Odyssey isn’t just a guitar tour. It’s a chance to explore, take chances, and have some fun with the instrument.”

In the meantime, Wong is poised to embark on a busy summer live schedule that includes international headline shows, top-billed festival sets, and more. Highlights include a two-night stand at Utrecht, NL’s TivoliVredenberg (June 16-17), a three-night, six-show run at London, UK’s famed Ronnie Scott’s (June 19-21), a special joint performance with Joshua Redman at Newport, RI’s Newport Jazz Festival (August 1), Stowe, VT’s Strawberry Jam Music Festival (August 8), Cockeysville, MD’s Hot August Music Festival (August 21-22), and more.

Wong will also host the third edition of Cory Wong’s Syncopated Summer Camp, a four-day, four-night deep dive into rhythm, groove, and good vibes for musicians and music fans of every level, scheduled for August 13-16 at San Francisco, CA’s luxurious Fairmont San Francisco. This year’s Syncopated Summer Camp will feature an expanded curriculum and faculty including guitarists Eric Krasno, Ariel Posen, and Mark Lettieri, bassists Yohannes Tona, Joe Dart, and Ian Martin Allison, keyboardists Kevin Gastonguay and Julian Pollack (J3PO), and drummers Nate Smith and Petar Janjic, plus special guests The Fearless Flyers, Joey Dosik, Victor Wooten, Dennis Chambers, and David Garibaldi. Limited registrations remain available exclusively at corywongcamp.com.
