Keyboardist Natalie Brooke joins forces with powerhouse bassist Sarah Elaz on Thursday, June 18th at Racket NYC for a night of community and collaboration the night before Goose’s two-night stand at Madison Square Garden. Hosted by The Femme Flock, nugs, and MRG Live, the evening will feature live music, art, dancing, and connection, all in support of Conscious Alliance and their mission to fight food insecurity nationwide.
Goose MSG Night Zero is the latest in a series of events produced by Jess For Scale, coming off a sold-out bill of Dizgo and The Nite Zero Band at Providence, RI’s Fete Music Hall last December ahead of the 2025 Goosemas shows.
Natalie Brooke is a virtuoso funk / rock keys player leading her powerhouse 4-piece band from the Baltimore area. The explosive act is fronted by Natalie on keys, synth, keytar, and vocals and backed by drummer Nathan Shulkin, Nester on the bass, and Luke Walker on the guitar. Once said to be a mashup of Rick James and Rush, she has an undeniably infectious vibe featuring a fiery blend of fast tempos and sloshy rock elements balanced with her transcendent jazz and classical roots.
Natalie brings an exceptionally unique approach to the keyboard that is equally percussive and melodic and lights up the show with every electrifying note she plays. She is on a meteoric rise, frequently sharing the stage with pillars of the rock, funk, and jazz scenes like Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Andy Frasco & the U.N., Cris Jacobs, Doom Flamingo, and more.
Sarah Elaz, best known as bassist for Brooklyn art haus band Boojum, has been on a breakout run recently. In addition to her touring with Grateful Dead tribute Bearly Dead across the USA, she played with BALTHVS on the 2026 edition of Jam Cruise and most notably joined forces with LP Giobbi and Mikaela Davis at Goose’s Viva El Gonzo for a special all-women studio session.
Elaz is one of the leading forces in the NYC jamband scene and recently debuted her “superjam” project at the legendary Bitter End in Manhattan. Her lineup for Racket is stacked with talent including guitarist Lara Cwass (The Lara Cwass Band, Oteil Burbridge), vocalist Nico Suave (Nico Suave & The Mothership), keyboardist Kiran Edwards (Residual Groove), drummer Mike Coiro (Boojum), vocalist Brittany Beckett, vocalist Honey Marmalade, and guitarist Alexis Malnerich. With a rich history of collaboration in a dizzyingly long list of other projects, this group of musicians is primed and ready to throw down an epic set on the 18th.
The night will also feature DJ v64 spinning once doors open and in between sets.
Goose MSG Night Zero is built by the community, for the community, celebrating the creativity, kindness, and weird little magic that makes this scene feel like home. Proceeds from fundraising efforts and donations will directly support Conscious Alliance’s work providing meals and critical support to communities in need.
Whether you’re coming to meet new friends, support independent artists and vendors, or dance your face off before MSG weekend officially begins, Night Zero is about showing up for each other and giving back while we do it.
May Night Zero be your home.
