Following a triumphant run of arena shows across Canada, legendary rock band The Guess Who have officially wrapped the first Canadian leg of their highly anticipated Takin’ It Back Tour.
The celebration of Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman performing as The Guess Who for the first time in 23 years drew enthusiastic crowds across Canada, setting the stage for the tour’s U.S. leg, which kicks off June 25 at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota.
The tour will make stops in major markets including Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Atlanta and Los Angeles, and will feature support from Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles.
Cummings comments:
“The response across Canada has been incredibly moving. Seeing fans of all generations come together to celebrate these songs has meant a great deal to Randy and me, and we’re excited to bring that same energy to our fans across the States.”
Bachman adds:
“Getting back on stage with Burton as The Guess Who has been everything I hoped it would be. These songs still connect with people in a powerful way, and we’re excited to keep the tour rolling and bring the show to fans across America.”
After six decades and a hard-fought battle to reclaim their name, The Guess Who’s Takin’ It Back Tour is more than just a reunion—it’s a celebration of legacy.
Formed in 1965, The Guess Who—who have been dubbed “the Canadian Beatles”—released 11 studio albums, all of which charted in both Canada and the United States, including 1970’s American Woman, which went to No. 1 in Canada and No. 9 in the U.S.
They have placed 14 singles on the U.S. Top 40 chart and more than 30 in Canada, including rock and roll classics “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature” and “No Time.”
With their unmatched songwriting catalog and deep influence on rock music, this moment marks a rare and meaningful full-circle return—one that longtime fans have been waiting for and one that underscores just how enduring their mighty legacy continues to be.
