Great South Bay Music Festival Announces Vets-Rock “Thank You” Event

Patchogue, NY – July 7, 2026 — In an effort to show heartfelt gratitude to the many veterans and active duty members of the armed forces who have fought and are now fighting to preserve our freedom, The Great South Bay Music Festival, running July 23 – 26, 2026, will donate over 100 tickets to nine of Long Island's deserving veterans’ organizations in front of Patchogue Village Hall on Tuesday, July 14, at 1:00pm.

Founder and lifelong Long Island resident Jim Faith, along with Patchogue Village, will present the tickets directly to the organizations, including New York State Veterans Home (Stony Brook), Suffolk County Police Veterans Association, United Veterans Beacon House, American Legion, VFW, Suffolk County Dept. Veterans Services Agency, Vet Dogs, Active Duty, and Blue Star Families.

“We are able to have concerts and music festivals like Great South Bay because of the sacrifices of those who have served and are still serving,” shares James Faith. “We felt it would be the right thing to do to thank them for their service by inviting these many veterans and active duty from all over Long Island to join us for some great entertainment, food, and camaraderie in the land of the free, because of the brave!”

“When people show this type of support for our veterans, it makes all the difference in the world. When veterans who were ‘in country’ in the past and listened to the music that helped get them through each day now have a chance to come and enjoy them at Great South Bay live, performing in person, it goes a long way towards welcoming them home. I’ve known Larry and Jim for years, and this is not the first nor would it be the last time they have saluted our heroes,” shares Steven Castleton, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (Ret).
