Symphony of Democracy, a Rock the Vote concert dedicated to inspiring young voters, celebrating local music and building excitement for the August 18 election, will take place Saturday, July 25, in Sanford, Florida.
The event is designed as more than a concert. It will bring artists, organizers, candidates and voters together for a community gathering focused on strengthening democratic participation and encouraging the next generation to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
The evening will feature performances from Central Florida bands Wormworld, Primal Instinct, Abbot, Orange Dawn, Violet Echo and Cpt. Spice.
Between performances, attendees will hear from progressive political candidates and organizers, including:
Marialana Kinter, candidate for Florida’s 7th Congressional District
Dayna Foster, candidate for governor of Florida
Matt Grocholske, president of the Florida Progressive Caucus
Liam Hennessey, Florida Young Democrats
