Tuesday Dead Drops heads to Atlanta for the final two nights of a three-show run that opened the Grateful Dead’s Spring Tour 1992.
March 2 at The Omni opens with “Cold Rain and Snow,” while “It’s All Over Now,” “Loser,” and a smoking “Deal” highlight the first set. Then comes “China Cat Sunflower” > “I Know You Rider” > “Man Smart, Woman Smarter” > “Terrapin Station.” Billy provides a little awakening during “Drums” with the infamous jackhammer before “The Other One” > “Stella Blue.” “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” closes a great night.
March 3 answers with “Hell in a Bucket” > “Sugaree,” “Candyman,” and “Corrina.” “Iko Iko” launches the second set before “Playing in the Band” > “Uncle John’s Band” > “Wave to the Wind” > “Drums” > “Space.” A beautiful “China Doll” emerges before “Throwing Stones” > “Turn on Your Love Light” light the place on fire. Only “Brokedown Palace” could close this run.
Three nights in Atlanta, and Spring ’92 is off and running.
