Béla Fleck is preparing to take My Bluegrass Heart back on the road this fall, and the acclaimed banjoist has shared a new Tiny Desk Concert ahead of the tour.
The performance pairs Fleck with renowned soprano Renée Fleming and highlights music from their collaborative album, The Fiddle and the Drum, released earlier this year. The project explores American musical traditions through Fleming’s voice, Fleck’s banjo, and an all-star bluegrass ensemble.

Fleck will soon return to the road with My Bluegrass Heart, the Grammy-winning project that marked his return to bluegrass and continued a musical journey that began with 1988’s Drive and continued with The Bluegrass Sessions.
The touring lineup features Michael Cleveland, Dominick Leslie, Jeff Partin, Mark Schatz, and Jake Stargel. Together, the musicians bring Fleck’s expansive approach to bluegrass to stages across the country, blending deep tradition with the adventurous musicianship that has defined his career.
A new date has been added to the tour on December 7 at the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall in Munhall, Pennsylvania. Tickets are on sale now.
The tour begins August 21 at Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York, and continues through December, with stops in Wilmington, Mount Gretna, Richmond, Nashville, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Philadelphia, New York City, and many other cities.
