SCREAM Edmonton Expands to Two Nights for Biggest Edition Yet

For 27 years, Halloween in Edmonton has meant one thing: SCREAM. What began in 1999 as a single night at the Polish Hall, with legendary DJ and producer John Acquaviva performing for roughly 1,000 fans, has evolved into one of the largest and longest-running Halloween celebrations in North America, produced by Boodang. This October 30–31, SCREAM EDMONTON returns to the Edmonton EXPO Centre for its biggest edition yet, expanding to two nights, four stages, more than 228,000 square feet of festival space and an expected 30,000+ guests over two days from across Canada, the United States and beyond.

The 2026 edition brings together an international lineup spanning the full spectrum of electronic music, including Tiesto, Alesso, Chase & Status, Gryffin, Sara Landry, Sullivan King, SVDDEN DEATH, Andrew Rayel, KREAM, Matroda, HNTR, Wax Motif, Odd Mob, alongside 27 supporting DJs across greater Canada.

Across two nights and four distinct stages, SCREAM offers something for virtually every corner of dance music. Elm Street, the festival’s main stage, brings cathedral-scale production and some of the biggest names in the genre, spanning progressive and future house. Camp Crystal Lake plunges into dubstep, drum & bass and heavy bass, while Monsterhaus operates as a club within the festival, delivering bass house, tech house and high-energy underground sounds. At Sanctuary, trance collides with hard techno, hard dance and hardstyle for an experience built around euphoric builds and punishing drops.

For 2026, SCREAM is expanding its physical footprint and reimagining the guest experience to match its growth. The Edmonton EXPO Centre will feature 228,000+ square feet of festival space, wider walkways, improved ventilation, expanded amenities, indoor queueing and a redesigned entry experience with multiple lanes to accommodate the festival’s growing audience. Stadium-level sound, cathedral-scale lighting rigs, massive laser displays and towering LED walls will create an environment built for maximum impact.

Beyond the music, more than 200 live performers spanning dancers, stilt-walkers, aerialists and costumed characters will transform the venue into a fully immersive Halloween world. Across two nights, SCREAM will bring together 30,000+ attendees for a celebration that is equal parts dance festival, Halloween spectacle and longstanding Edmonton tradition.

Tickets are on sale now, ranging from GA, GA+, VIP and Ultra VIP at screamhalloween.ca.
