Folk/Americana singer-songwriter Todd Bailey has released his new double album, Midnight in Plain Sight, an expansive project that moves between traditional folk storytelling, roots-rock energy, and heartland country.
Sitting firmly on a narrative core, Midnight in Plain Sight explores themes of persistence, late-night reflection, and the quiet truths hidden in everyday life. Across its two discs, the project balances sparse, intimate acoustic arrangements with full-band roots dynamics while keeping the songwriting at the center.
“This record sits right in that sweet spot where folk, country, and rock meet, but at its heart, it’s always about the song,” Bailey says. “Putting together a double album gave us the room to let the stories breathe and explore different sonic textures while keeping that raw, songwriter focus front and center.”
The Burlington, New Jersey-based songwriter points listeners toward several tracks as entry points into the record, including “Back Roads of This Town,” “Friday Night,” and “First Drag.”

Bailey is also taking the music into a handful of regional live dates. He recently appeared at Albert Music Hall in Ocean Township, New Jersey, on August 29, with upcoming performances set for Tomasello Winery in Lambertville, New Jersey, on September 5 and Havana in New Hope, Pennsylvania, on September 30.
