Old No. 1 Revisited, a track-by-track homage to Guy Clark’s landmark 1975 album, Old No. 1, is getting the live treatment with a concert and broadcast presented by WMOT’s 895 aLIVE on Sunday, October 11, at 7 p.m. CT at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley.
Erin Rae, Andrew Combs, Logan Ledger, Caroline Randall Williams, Jess Nolan and Kelsey Waldon are confirmed to perform alongside the album’s producer, Dan Knobler.
Released by Truly Handmade Records, Old No. 1 Revisited is available digitally and on vinyl. The Top 10 Americana radio release brings together a who’s who of Americana artists to pay tribute to Clark’s debut, including Margo Price, Jade Bird, Sarah Jarosz, Erin Rae, Brennen Leigh, Logan Ledger, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Andrew Combs with Rodney Crowell, Kelsey Waldon and Caroline Randall Williams.
While not a commercial success by any stretch, Old No. 1 was highly praised by the press. “L.A. Freeway,” “Desperados Waiting for a Train,” “Rita Ballou,” “Texas 1947,” “Let Him Roll” and “That Old Time Feeling” soon became classics. No one could have known then that Old No. 1 would inspire generations of American songwriters, troubadours and music fans.
Recorded at Knobler’s Good Wishes studio in Nashville, the project was engineered and produced by Knobler, whose credits include Lake Street Dive, Bahamas and Rodney Crowell.

Additional musicians on the album include Jen Gunderman, Audley Freed, Mickey Raphael, Sam Bush, Jamie Dick, Chris Scruggs and Dennis Crouch, with harmony vocals from Rosanne Cash and Maya de Vitry.
Proceeds from both Old No. 1 Revisited and the book Old No. 1 at 50: A History of Guy Clark’s First Album will benefit the Guy Clark Family Foundation.
