Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley has a packed fall calendar ahead, with several shows likely to stand out for Grateful Dead, jam-band and roots-music fans alongside a broad mix of rock, folk, bluegrass, funk and community events.

One of the biggest nights arrives September 28, when Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Out of the Park and Music Heals International present Lukas Nelson & Friends. The sold-out show brings together an especially notable lineup featuring Grahame Lesh, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Holly Bowling, John Molo and Paul Beaubrun. A portion of the proceeds benefits Sweet Relief and the Furthur Foundation.

Jam fans get back-to-back nights with Spafford on September 29 and 30, while AJ Lee & Blue Summit appear October 2 as part of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Out of the Park, followed by a sold-out Old Crow Medicine Show performance October 3.

The psychedelic side of Sweetwater’s fall schedule picks up again October 11 with an early Moonalice Sunday Matinee. Two nights later, Live Dead & Brothers: An All-Star Celebration of Grateful Dead & Allman Brothers comes to the room on October 13, bringing two of American improvisational music’s most enduring catalogs together for one night.

There are plenty of other shows touching the broader orbit of the Deadhead, jam and roots communities. Pete Floyd brings Pink Floyd’s psychedelic catalog to Sweetwater September 25, the monthly Marin Bluegrass Sessions returns September 27, and Wolf Jett shares an October 17 bill with Sqwerv. The calendar also includes two nights of Zepparella, a Talking Heads-themed kids show, and The Coffis Brothers presenting “Coffis Does Petty.”

Sweetwater Music Hall is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization and intimate live music venue established in 1972. The venue presents music across genres while supporting its mission to cultivate creativity, nurture talent and make the arts accessible to the community.
