Acclaimed singer-songwriter-bassist Karina Rykman has released her eagerly anticipated second album, Late Checkout, available today via Karina Rykman/High Rotation Records.

Rykman will celebrate tonight with a hometown album release show at New York City’s historic Webster Hall. Tomorrow, September 26, she will make her network television debut with a performance on CBS Saturday Morning as part of the program’s “Saturday Sessions” series.
Earlier this week, Rykman celebrated the album’s release with the first-ever in-store musical performance at New York City’s iconic Zabar’s. The event also featured an array of exclusive merchandise and Babkarina—a special new chocolate babka created in collaboration with Rykman.
Alongside the album’s arrival, Rykman has shared a visualizer for the new song “Riverside Drive.”

Late Checkout was recorded with producer and engineer Gabe Monro at Trey Anastasio’s legendary Vermont recording studio, The Barn, and New York City’s DFA Studios. The album was heralded by the singles “Easy, Rider,” “Late Checkout” and “Shoegaze Summer.”

Rykman will support Late Checkout with an extensive tour featuring guitarist Adam November, bassist Pete Miller and drummer Chris Corsico. The tour continues through February 2027.

About Karina Rykman
Karina Rykman has earned widespread attention as a bassist, singer, songwriter and magnetic live performer. She has toured extensively as a solo artist and performed alongside artists including Trey Anastasio, Phish, My Morning Jacket, Khruangbin, the Disco Biscuits and many others.
Rykman released her debut album, Joyride, in 2023. Produced by Gabe Monro, the album featured Anastasio on five tracks and introduced a sound that blended indie rock, psychedelic pop, dance music and improvisational energy.
With Late Checkout, Rykman continues to expand that sound while placing a greater focus on songwriting and vocal performance. Recorded at The Barn and DFA Studios, the album captures the chemistry of her touring band while embracing a colorful mix of rock, pop, psychedelia and groove-driven improvisation.
Known for her infectious enthusiasm and connection with audiences, Rykman has built a growing community around music that is playful, adventurous and deeply collaborative. Late Checkout marks the next chapter in that journey.
