New Orleans musicians, including folk favorites Father Ron and Friends, will come together on Sunday, October 25, at 3 p.m. for Feed the Hungry, a benefit concert at St. George’s Episcopal Church, located at 4600 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. The lineup also features Daphne Parker Powell, Mikayla Braun, the St. George Choir and special guests.
All proceeds will support Dragon Cafe, which has served hot breakfast on Sunday mornings since 2005, and Morning Call, a pastry and supplies hospitality ministry held on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
Together, the programs provide more than 400 meals each month, along with toiletries, used clothing, restrooms and a space offering comfort. Volunteers from St. George’s Episcopal Church, other Episcopal churches, the New Orleans community and Tulane University staff the programs.
Concert proceeds go directly toward supplies for Dragon Cafe and Morning Call.
