Koch-Marshall Trio, featuring guitarist Greg Koch, Hammond organist Toby Lee Marshall and drummer Dylan Koch, will release their new album, Larger Than Life Live!, on October 30, 2026. Recorded at The Argo in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, the eight-track collection captures the trio's dynamic interplay, bringing together blues, funk, rock and extended improvisation.
With Greg Koch on guitar, Toby Lee Marshall on Hammond organ and Dylan Koch on drums, Larger Than Life Live! leaves plenty of room for the three musicians to stretch out, explore their arrangements and respond to one another in real time.
The album was recorded during a sold-out performance at The Argo on February 6, 2026, with a mix of original compositions and interpretations of songs associated with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters and Jeff Beck.
Among the highlights is “Daddy Long Legs,” a Greg Koch original featuring an extended jam and solo section that builds toward the song's conclusion.
Another standout performance is “The Ripper,” an intense instrumental funk-blues original built around the trio's musical interplay. The track highlights the interaction between Koch's guitar, Marshall's Hammond organ and Dylan Koch's drumming.
The album's title track, “Larger Than Life,” offers another introduction to the trio's sound. The instrumental shuffle features a Hendrix-inspired wah-guitar head, opening into expansive solo sections that give each musician room to explore.
Larger Than Life Live! was recorded by Steve Hamilton, mixed by Neil Dorfsman, whose credits include Dire Straits' Brothers in Arms, and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound.
The recording also features guest appearances by vocalist Woody Mankowski and bassist Matt Turner on the trio's performance of Jimi Hendrix's “Bold as Love.”
The album is available for CD and vinyl orders, with streaming beginning October 30. Additional album information and ordering options are available at Greg Koch's official website.
