Alastair Greene returns with “Last Train Around The Sun,” the second single from the newly remastered Trouble At Your Door (Deluxe Edition), coming November 13, 2026, via Ruf Records. Blues Rock Review premiered the track on October 30, offering listeners an early taste of the forthcoming release. You can check out the premiere here.
Driven by a gritty, infectious riff inspired by Muddy Waters’ “Hoochie Coochie Man” and infused with the unmistakable guitar attitude of ZZ Top, “Last Train Around The Sun” delivers hard-hitting blues-rock with a swagger all its own. Beneath its catchy groove, the song offers a sharp lyrical observation of people whose self-destructive choices may ultimately lead to serious consequences.
Reflecting on the song’s lasting relevance, Greene explains, “I wrote ‘Last Train Around The Sun’ many years ago, but the story still rings true today. Most of us have known someone headed down a troubled road, where you can see what’s coming even if they can’t. That’s what gives the lyrics a timeless quality—it’s a human story that doesn’t belong to any one moment.”

Ruf Records will release Alastair Greene’s Trouble At Your Door (Deluxe Edition) on November 13, 2026, bringing a newly remastered and expanded edition of his 2014 album to longtime fans and new listeners. Originally released on Delta Groove / Eclecto Groove Productions, the record remains one of Greene’s personal favorites.
The 14-track collection features a more organic sound, closer to his original vision, and was remastered by Sean McCue, who recorded and engineered the original sessions at Coyote Road Studios in Santa Barbara. Two previously unreleased recordings round out the release: an acoustic version of “Drunk Again” and a version of “3 Bullets” featuring Erik Norlander on Hammond organ.
