Today, 2ŁØT steps into a new chapter with the release of “Favorite Star,” the first glimpse into their second album, RE/SOLVE, arriving July 31st. After a year that expanded their reach into the global electronic scene, the genre-defying collective returns with something more intimate and inward-facing.

“Favorite Star” is about being loved for the light of who you used to be, while privately knowing that version has already faded. Built on atmospheric textures and Rudy Love Jr.’s contemplative vocal delivery, the track captures the quiet tension between who the world remembers and who you’re becoming. It’s reflective without being defeated – honest about change without trying to overstate it.

If 2ŁØT’s debut album Entropy confronted chaos head-on – drawing from the Second Law of Thermodynamics and the inevitability of disorder – RE/SOLVE shifts the lens. The new album leans into what the band calls their “Second Hero’s Journey” – what happens after the initial breakthrough, after the survival story has already been told. Instead of fighting collapse, the focus turns toward identity, reckoning, and the steady work of rebuilding.

“The aim is to mythologize the cyclical process of self-reflection, transformation, and self-actualization through a Campbellian archetypal lens,” shares Rudy. “The songs are specifically written and ordered to tell a story that takes the listener on this adventure with us.”

Rather than spelling out answers, RE/SOLVE lives in that in-between space. It’s an album about transition – about what surfaces when the version of yourself that carried you this far no longer fits. The result is a body of work that feels more stripped back, more reflective, and quietly confident in its evolution. The album features appearances from three GRAMMY Award-winning artists, including Jon Batiste, underscoring the growing creative orbit around 2ŁØT.

The release follows a landmark year for 2ŁØT. In 2025, 2ŁØT crossed into the global electronic arena in a meaningful way. Two collaborations with Steve Aoki – including a Dim Mak release – introduced their sound to festival audiences worldwide, while multiple singles have charted on the dance charts, signaling sustained momentum beyond the live stage. The Albert Harvey Mix EP reimagined four tracks from Entropy through a dance-forward lens. Paul Oakenfold offered a euphoric reinterpretation of “Entropy,” further extending the band’s presence in the international dance community. Their collaboration with Aloe Blacc on “Immortal,” rooted in the philosophy of memento mori, debuted live on KTLA and resonated widely for its courage-driven message. They also brought their immersive live experience to stages like the Treefort Music Fest, building momentum as a band equally at home in concert halls and club spaces.

Those collaborations broadened their sonic reach. With RE/SOLVE, the focus returns to a cohesive album statement – one that builds on their Electronic Jam Music foundation while moving into more nuanced, emotionally grounded territory.

2ŁØT will bring this next phase to the stage with select live performances throughout the year, beginning February 28th at Deep Ellum Art Company in Dallas, followed by March 12th at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom & Cervantes’ Other Side in Denver, March 15th at Shakedown Street in Vail, March 27th at Treefort Music Fest in Boise, and April 4th at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. These shows will offer early glimpses into the evolving sound behind RE/SOLVE. The band will also perform at the Breakaway Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio on May 29th, further expanding their presence on major festival stages nationwide.

About 2ŁØT
2ŁØT is a five-piece band blending hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, rock, and electronic music into a sound they call Electronic Jam Music (EJM). Formed during a time of personal upheaval, the group – comprised of Rudy Love Jr., Chase Koch, Omar Jawar II, Sage Judd, and Robert Trusko – uses music as a tool for social change. Their work spans themes of addiction recovery, youth empowerment, and criminal justice reform, offering listeners both emotional catharsis and community-driven purpose.
