36th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert Line-Up

Tibet House US has announced that GRAMMY-Award winning Pakistani singer, composer and producer Arooj Aftab along with revered bass player from New Order, Tom Chapman, will join the eclectic lineup for the Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert on March 1st at 7:30pm. One of the longest-running and most renowned live cultural events in New York City, the concert will make its long-awaited return to The Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall after the past two concerts were held virtually due to the pandemic. The benefit concert, now in its 36th year, is guaranteed to bring a much-needed evening full of amazing music, camaraderie, and one-night-only collaborations. Arooj Aftab and Tom Chapman will join the evening’s Artistic Director, esteemed composer Philip Glass, along with previously announced performers: Allison Russell, New Order’s Bernard Sumner, Laurie Anderson, Gogol Bordello, Marc Anthony Thompson of Chocolate Genius, Inc., Zsela, Tenzin Choegyal, The Philip Glass Ensemble with Martha Mooke & The Scorchio Quartet and more. Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard and Arden Wohl will serve as the evening’s honorary chairs.
