More than 50 of the Front Range’s top bluegrass, Americana, and country musicians will unite once again for the 4th Annual Boulder County Jingle Jam — a festive, high-energy holiday revue where 100% of ticket sales go directly to charity. The show features original arrangements, classic holiday covers, and special guest appearances from across the region’s vibrant music scene.
Now entering its fourth year, the Jingle Jam has sold out every show to date and has already raised more than $15,000 for local nonprofits. This year, organizers hope to contribute an additional $8,000 to support families in need across East Boulder County.
All proceeds benefit Sister Carmen Community Center, a Lafayette-based, non-religious nonprofit providing essential services to residents of Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, and Erie. With more families seeking assistance this season, the organization’s work is more critical than ever.
This year’s lineup includes musicians from Stillhouse Junkies, Slay and Stinson, Deer Creek Sharp Shooters, Tonewood, Liver Down the River, Mighty Holler, Ms. Amy & the Jet Set, DDO’s Illegal Smile, Jake Leg, Bearhat, Timber!, Something Slight, Steepland Stringband, and International Bluegrass Music Association Hall of Fame member Pete Wernick of Hot Rize, among many others.
“This started as kind of a lark,” says event organizer Tom Buswell, “we just thought it would be fun to get some local musician friends together and do an old-timey, feel-good holiday show. But we quickly realized that we could use this to make a real impact. And every year, the community shows up in a huge way.”
“It’s really become the Front Range music scene’s annual holiday party,” adds co-chair Brandy Ray, “So many familiar faces, so much incredible talent, and an atmosphere you just can’t replicate. It’s the highlight of our year.”
The 4th Annual Boulder County Jingle Jam takes place on December 20 at the Roots Music Project, 4747 Pearl St, Ste V3A, Boulder, CO 80301. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 the day of the show, and can be purchased here.
