Grammy-winning Infamous Stringdusters bandmates Andy Falco (guitar) and Travis Book (upright bass) step out as a duo this fall to honor the timeless music of Jerry Garcia. “The project actually originated backstage at ’Dusters shows where Travis and I would typically warm up with some fun Jerry songs,” Falco recalls. “At some point we just thought it would be fun to do it in public.”

That public debut comes to Boulder’s historic Fox Theatre on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the music starts at 8:00 p.m. General-admission tickets are on sale now at https://www.z2ent.com/events/detail/travis-book-andy-falco-2025-fox. The performance is open to all ages (patrons under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

Drawing from Garcia’s solo catalog, beloved Grateful Dead classics, and the traditional folk gems that informed his work, Falco and Book reimagine this repertoire in an intimate, two-man setting. “Performing this music as a duo allows us to explore the songs and jam in a way that’s unique to playing as a duo,” says Book. “We typically hear these songs in larger ensembles, but with just bass and guitar the music becomes highly interactive with the audience. It’s really a testament to the quality of the songwriting, and we like to put a spotlight on that aspect of Jerry.”

With Falco’s fluid picking, Book’s resonant bass lines, and a shared reverence for Garcia’s artistry, the evening promises a fresh yet faithful take on some of American music’s most enduring songs.
