Ardmore Music Hall’s ownership and management team have joined forces with longtime Philadelphia area concert producers Point Entertainment and Bonfire Entertainment to form Rising Sun Presents. Their team of industry-tested entertainment and hospitality professionals provide booking, marketing, production, ticketing, and operational management services for every kind of live event space. The independent company’s mission is to create holistic event experiences with impeccable production value, intentional atmosphere, warm and detailed staff hospitality, and thoughtfully curated food and beverage programs.

The Rising Sun Presents team draws experience from the local, regional and national live music industry, and their flagship venue, Ardmore Music Hall, continues to be managed by its core leadership group led by operating partner and head talent buyer Chris Perella. RSP honors the legacy of the late Bryan Dilworth’s Bonfire Entertainment through their work with former Bonfire clients Underground Arts and MilkBoy Philly (Philadelphia, PA) with partner Adam Spivak. Additional Rising Sun partners include 118 North (Wayne, PA), and The Colonial Theatre (Phoenixville, PA). They have also joined forces with area restaurants Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft (Ardmore, PA), and The Refectory (Villanova, PA), along with numerous outdoor events, concert series and festivals.

Of the new venture, Perella says: "I'm proud to publicly launch this new chapter with our team. A rising sun is the perfect image to describe who we are–warm, optimistic, and a source of growth. This collective has risen out of the darkness of the pandemic, a time when we all experienced both personal loss and industry turmoil, and we've regrouped and bonded together with strength and hopefulness to bring joy through music and events to our greater Philadelphia community.”

Point Entertainment, started in 2003 by co-owners Rich Kardon and Jesse Lundy, grew out of the award-winning listening room The Point in Bryn Mawr, PA. Since then, they've worked with a diverse group of clients to produce, program and promote concerts, festivals and special events.

Kardon says of Rising Sun Presents: “It was obvious that we all have the same mindset, philosophy and values. It’s a natural fit and we couldn’t be more excited about combining forces.” A partial list of Point’s past and present clients include: The Colonial Theatre, Keswick Theatre, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Eagleview Concerts, and outdoor concert series’ in the Townships of Upper Merion, Lower Merion and East Whiteland.

This summer, Rising Sun Presents produced The Wayne Music Festival and Ardmore’s Rock N’ Ride, annual events that each drew 10,000+ attendees. RSP also won the contract to produce the 36th season of the live music series Concerts Under the Stars, which includes upcoming concerts with Brett Dennen, David Bromberg, and The Wailers. They also produced this season’s Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts and partnered with Our People Entertainment to book summer programming at The Oval XP near the Philadelphia Art Museum.

As the company grows, Rising Sun Presents looks forward to welcoming more music venues and live event producers into their orbit and pursuing their goal of providing the best in live concert entertainment and hospitality to the Philadelphia region and beyond.
