The final day of Austin City Limits 2025 brought with it a bittersweet feeling as fans lined up outside Zilker Park that early Sunday Afternoon. Having experienced so much over the past few days, the bar was set high for all in attendance. Day three proved to measure up by all standards, as it showcased a new generation of artists just emerging onto the scene, anchored in a series of influential acts that defined their legacies over the past several generations.

Starting the day off on the Miller Light stage, Los Angeles performer-producer, The Dare, showcased an ambitious style of performance that prompted elation from the Texas crowd. Showing up in a tailored black Gucci suit, the artist’s composed demeanor was manifested in every way, immediately prompting the crowd’s jubilant reaction as he began his set with “Open Up.” Playing with the corded microphone like a yo-yo, his stage presence exuded an element of spirited liveliness that defined his onstage charisma beyond the music he played.

Electrifying the house mid day, Isle of White indie rock outfit, Wet Leg, galvanized the audience through under the hot Texas sun. Starting off with a declaration of authority, vocalist Rhian Teasdale appeared onstage wearing a shirt reading “Follow me! I’m a cult leader” and flexed her muscles before the group opened with their recent single “catch these fists.” Keeping the momentum rolling, Teasdale picked up a guitar and led the group into an uptempo rendition of their 2022 hit “Wet Dream.” Never letting their enthusiasm wane, they powered through a long series of thrashy tracks including “Too Late Now,” “CPR,” and “mangetout.”

An artist thoroughly enjoying the fruits of their breakout year, indie acoustic singer-songwriter Gigi Perez brought a sense of comfort to the late day crowd on the Lady Bird stage. Santering onstage with a guitar and an infectious smile, she unassumingly took center stage and began her set with her recent single “Please Be Rude.” Her style of play proved a calming and regenerative oasis in an otherwise stimulating lineup that day, as Perez showcased a nurturing style of comfort through her music with a setlist including “Fable,” “At The Beach, In Every Life,” and a cover of Daft Punk’s 2013 hit “Instant Crush.” Ending her time in front of the Southern crowd with the song they came to hear, she closed out her show with her new and wildly successful ballad “Sailor Song.”

Giving a sunset performance on the main American Express stage, Tallahassee rapper and R&B powerhouse T-Pain put on a show that highlighted his talents and influence in the popular music scene over the past several decades. The stage decorated appropriately for the Texas setting, the artist emerged dramatically from a two-story tall Western Saloon, dressed head to toe in an eccentric leather cowboy outfit, and began his show with a segment from his 2007 collaboration “Cyclone,” which lead directly into a snippet of his contribution to the official remix of Unk’s “2 Step” of the same year. Showcasing his talents as a vocalist and a dancer, his movement was hypnotizing as he captivated the crowd with an immersive stage presence that enthused the audience. Showing just how much his presence has been felt in music since he emerged into the limelight, he performed examples of his featured verses in cultural staple pieces, including Lil Wayne’s “Got Money” and Kanye West’s “Good Life,” as well as his solo ventures including “I’m Sprung,” and “Best Love Song.”
