Since launching in 2019, BeachLife Festival has quickly established a reputation for combining the best of Southern California’s idyllic culture into a one-of-a-kind experience with something for everyone. This past weekend, more than 40,000 people flocked to Redondo Beach for BeachLife Festival 2026. Friday and Saturday sold out completely, and the festival achieved the highest attendance in its history.
With an eclectic group of legendary top talent and exciting emerging artists spanning rock, indie, pop, jam, reggae, and more, BeachLife 2026 attracted record-breaking crowds with headlining sets from Duran Duran, The Offspring, and James Taylor and His All-Star Band, alongside performances from The Chainsmokers, My Morning Jacket, Slightly Stoopid, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Grouplove, Peach Pit, and many more.
“It felt like our team really hit its stride this year…and that’s the result of seven years of investing in people,” reflected BeachLife Festival Director Sam Meyers. “A lot of our department heads, and even many on the support staff, have been with us since the early days. That continuity shows. What excites me most is our ability to take what we’ve built here in the South Bay and grow beyond it, while continuing to elevate the flagship event in Redondo Beach that we all know and love — especially as we look ahead to BeachLife Festival 2027, April 30th - May 2nd.”
In addition to the stunning coastal views and stellar lineup of musical acts, BeachLife once again emphasized elevated food and beverage experiences. Partnering with renowned local South Bay restaurants and BeachLife Executive Chef Chase Carlson, the 2026 festival delivered a touch of sophistication unique to the music festival world.
From the Captain’s Culinary Experience to the California Surf Club — which returned for a second year — festivalgoers enjoyed thoughtfully curated menus and artfully prepared dishes that complemented the festival’s laid-back, luxury-meets-surf atmosphere.
Music from more than 40 artists filled four stages throughout the weekend: the Fiji Airways HighTide Stage, the Cove Soda LowTide Stage, the LA Chargers RipTide Stage, and the SpeakEasy Stage presented by STōK Cold Brew Coffee. Curated by Pennywise frontman and BeachLife Brand Director Jim Lindberg, the SpeakEasy Stage featured intimate and stripped-down acoustic performances from artists spanning rock, singer-songwriter, surf, and punk genres.
With a lineup spanning multiple generations and genres, the festival offered something for everyone. Pop-rock icons Duran Duran brought unmistakable ’80s energy to the beachside setting, mixing timeless classics with newer material. The Offspring tore through an energetic set featuring punk staples, covers of Black Sabbath and The Beatles, and a surprise appearance by Guy Cohen — the original star of the “Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)” music video — during the band’s performance of the song.
James Taylor closed the festival with a relaxed and feel-good performance alongside his All-Star Band, while The Chainsmokers delivered a high-energy set packed with hits including “Closer” and “Something Just Like This.”
Elsewhere across the weekend, Fitz & The Tantrums, Grouplove, and Flipturn kept crowds moving with favorites like “HandClap” and “Tongue Tied.” Saturday leaned heavily into reggae, roots, and laid-back California vibes with Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Sugar Ray, and Water Tower, while Switchfoot and Bad Suns raised the energy before Joan Jett & The Blackhearts closed with classics including “Bad Reputation,” “Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “I Love Rock ’n Roll.”
Sunday’s lineup featured standout performances from My Morning Jacket, Peach Pit, Buena Vista Orchestra, Poolside, and Sheryl Crow, whose hit-filled set brought the weekend to a memorable close.
The festival grounds also featured a wide array of interactive activations, fan experiences, product tastings, games, photo opportunities, sustainable initiative displays, boutique shopping, and an art installation from Punk Rock & Paintbrushes. A silent auction benefiting BeachLife’s primary charitable partners also returned.
BeachLife welcomed returning partners including Skechers, DAOU, Hendrick’s Gin, Jack Daniel’s, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Waterloo, Lifeway Kefir, and Open Water, while new partners included Fiji Airways, Cove Soda, STōK Cold Brew Coffee, Limelight Hotels, Habit Burger, Aperol, Mionetto, Citizens Private Bank, Aboard RV, Outbound Hotels, Embolden Beer Co., and the LA Chargers.
Before the festival officially kicked off, BeachLife hosted its annual charity gala, Evening By the Sea, at the California Surf Club on April 29. The event featured a rare acoustic performance from Slightly Stoopid hosted by Jim Lindberg and helped raise more than $150,000 through ticket sales and silent auctions benefiting a wide range of local and national nonprofits.
Beneficiaries included the Redondo Beach Police & Fire Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, Wyland Foundation, Heal the Bay, Redondo Beach Education Foundation, South Bay Parkland Conservancy, King Harbor Youth Foundation, South Bay Boardriders Club, Friendship Foundation, Jimmy Miller Foundation, Lanakila Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Since its inception, BeachLife Festival’s philanthropic efforts have helped raise more than $900,000 for charitable causes, reinforcing the festival’s ongoing commitment to community impact and coastal preservation.
“Giving back to the community has been at the heart of BeachLife Festival since the very beginning,” shared festival co-founder Rob Lissner. “Through initiatives like our silent auction, philanthropy gala, battle of the bands, and other partnerships, we’re proud to have helped our nonprofit partners raise more than $150,000 this past cycle.”
