Indie-rocker, Ben Kweller has announced upcoming July 2023 tour dates. Kweller lost his 16-year-old son, Dorian, in a freak car accident on February 27, 2023. Dorian, who recorded music under the moniker ZEV, was scheduled to open the dates.

"It's the unthinkable," the ‘Thirteen’-singer expressed his perseverance In a video statement on Tuesday. "I've pretty much been in a state of shock for two months. Dorian and I had so many plans. His music [ZEV] was starting to gain traction and we were going to tour together this summer. I have to fight my natural inclination to cancel everything and crawl into a hole. Music has always been my rock, my medicine...No matter how tough the shows may be for me, I know deep down that this is all part of my healing.”

Kweller will be joined by an all-star band featuring Robert Ellis, Chris Mintz-Plasse, and Ryan Dean. Ellis will also perform a solo show as main support. At the top of the evening, Kweller will welcome the audience and screen a tribute video to ZEV who would've been first of three on the bill.
