BENEFIT CONCERT AT ARDMORE MUSIC HALL ADDS JON BARBER, CROUSE AND MORE TO JUNE 25 LINEUP

The Ian McGuire Music Scholarship Fund (IMMSF) and Ardmore Music Hall are hosting the 2nd annual benefit concert in honor of Ian McGuire’s legacy. The concert will serve as the album release party “Spring Garden”, the last album McGuire recorded with friend and bandmate Scotty Zwang before McGuire’s passing. Tickets and a limited pressing of McGuire and Scotty Zwang’s “Spring Garden” are on sale now at ArdmoreMusicHall.com.

Scotty Zwang, Tom McKee, Ben Karp and Dave Palan are forming the core band for the night, with recent special guest additions that include Disco Biscuits’ Jon Barber, Johnny Fissinger, Matt McNulty, Ryan Edgar and Jaime Doyle and DJ sets from Crouse.

Other special guests sitting in throughout the night are Tom Hamilton, Danny Mayer, Paul Weinstein, Mike Labombard, Eli Winderma and Clay Parnell. The group will play a mixture of music from the McGuire Zwang Duo catalog and other past Ian McGuire projects, and music from their respective projects.

“Spring Garden'' was recorded by Ian McGuire and Scotty Zwang in 2021 and features Lotus’ Chuck Morris, Ben Karp, Tim Knipper, Rick Lowenberg, Ajinkya Joglekar, and Aaron Dressler. The album was engineered by Ryan Edgar and produced by Jesse Miller of Lotus. All concert and album sales proceeds will go towards IMMSF’s mission.

The album liner reads, “The lan McGuire Music Scholarship Fund (IMMSF) dedicates this album in honor of lan Blair McGuire, whose love for music permeated the lives of all those around him. ‘Spring Garden’ is a posthumous release made possible by IMMSF. Proceeds from this album will continue Ian’s legacy by supporting the charity's mission of advancing music education and providing resources to connect youth, adults, and communities with access to music teachers and programs.”

In addition to the limited vinyl release, IMMSF teamed up with 29th Street Studios to offer the album digitally through all major providers including, iTunes, Pandora, and Spotify, on Friday, June 23. Single “Drop” is available now.
