Brandi Carlile’s acclaimed new album Returning To Myself has debuted at #7 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and Indie Store Album Sales charts, while reaching #2 on the Vinyl Albums chart.
The 11-time Grammy Award winner celebrated the release with her fourth appearance as musical guest on Saturday Night Live, performing “Church & State” and “Human.” Her eighth studio album and first solo project in four years, Returning To Myself was produced by Carlile alongside Andrew Watt, Aaron Dessner, and Justin Vernon. The record features longtime bandmates Phil and Tim Hanseroth, SistaStrings, Josh Klinghoffer, Chad Smith, Matt Chamberlain, and others.
Returning To Myself finds Carlile returning to her roots with reflective, intimate songwriting that balances power and vulnerability. The expanded commentary edition, with track-by-track insights from Carlile, is also available now via Interscope Records/Lost Highway.
Next year, Carlile will bring her new music to arenas across North America, the U.K., and Europe on The Human Tour. Stops include Madison Square Garden (two nights, one sold out), Kia Forum, TD Garden, Target Center, Scotiabank Arena, and more. European shows follow in fall 2026, including Dublin’s 3Arena, London’s The O2, and Paris’ La Seine Musicale. Full details at brandicarlile.com/tour.
Carlile continues to be celebrated as one of music’s most respected voices. In addition to her own albums, she’s produced and collaborated with Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Brandy Clark, and Dolly Parton, and earned her first Oscar nomination in 2025 for “Never Too Late.” She is also co-founder of the Looking Out Foundation, which has raised over $8 million for grassroots causes.
