New York, NY – June 9, 2026 – After a breakout 40-city tour, Brian K & The Parkway return with an energetic, live-in-studio second album featuring the loose-but-polished rock & roll sound that has earned them growing national attention. Album singles “Dogwood,” “Crows in Camouflage,” “Scarecrow,” and “The Beachcomber” are out now. The album will be released September 4th.

The title track “Roses & Kerosene” features a duet with acclaimed singer-songwriter Lilly Hiatt.
“I loved singing this with Brian and the boys,” said Hiatt. “Beautiful melody and sentiment, let [‘Roses & Kerosene’] light your heart ablaze.”
The album was recorded with friends of the band, bassist Cat Popper (Jack White, Willie Nelson, Puss N Boots, Grace Potter) and keyboardist Rob Clores (The Black Crowes, Charli XCX, Jesse Malin).
“They sent me their songs, and I was like, ‘These are awesome,’” said Popper. “And plus, [Brian and Stephen] have such a good vibe and no one works harder than they do – it's wild. The studio was awesome, and I'm glad Rob was there so I wasn't the oldest one in the room.”
The band and featured artists came together for just four days to record the new album in Richmond, VA. The sessions were co-produced by Mike Reina (The Head and The Heart), mixed by Sean Sullivan (Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers), and mastered by Justin Perkins (The Cranberries, Lydia Loveless, The Replacements).
“With an incredible team of players and engineers, we were able to capture a live energy in just a few days playing together,” said singer-songwriter and guitarist Brian Pagels. “When we arrived at the studio, Mike, Stephen, and I had never played these songs with Cat and Rob. But because they are legends and such pros, we were able to fall into a groove by the third take or so.”
“It was an incredible experience to hear Cat and Rob interpret the songs in real time, creating their parts and finding new things in the songs,” said drummer Stephen Russ.
Written on the road, Roses & Kerosene reflects the influence of more than a year of touring their first album.
“We probably heard every kind of Americana and rock & roll band while writing this and it made us want to try new things,” said Russ. “For instance, the quiet spaces of ‘Scarecrow’ and the punk throwdown of ‘Angels’.”
“At its core, Roses & Kerosene is an album about relationships and how they form, fall apart, and sometimes endure – each song approaches relationships from a different angle,” said Pagels. “Ultimately, it’s about broadening the picture of our shared humanity and, maybe, helping us cut each other a little more slack.”
Roses & Kerosene will be released on September 4th, 2026, and the band will support the release with a tour throughout the Mid/east.

About Brian K & The Parkway
Brian K & The Parkway play earnest and expressive rock & roll that’s drawn comparisons to Tom Petty, ‘70s Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Warren Zevon, and The Replacements. Their sound blends ragged Americana grit with memorable hooks – think storytelling and swagger of Drive-By Truckers and singalong choruses of Dawes.
