Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and the Birthplace of Country Music are thrilled to announce the Thursday Night Kick-Off Show at the Bristol Hotel’s LUMAC Rooftop Bar on Thursday Sept. 10, 2026!
Crowd-favorite Scythian will be kicking off the festival on a high note with music under the stars as a special treat for a few early festival goers.
“The Thursday Night Kick-Off Show has become a favorite tradition for folks who arrive early and want to jump into the festival experience,” said Melissa Roberts, Executive Director of Birthplace of Country Music. “There’s something special about gathering for live music with a beautiful sunset and downtown Bristol as the backdrop. It sets the tone for the entire weekend.”
Named after Ukrainian nomads, Scythian (sith-ee-yin) plays roots music from Celtic, Eastern European and Appalachian traditions with thunderous energy, technical prowess, and storytelling songwriting, beckoning crowds into a barn-dance, rock concert experience.
