Cervantes’ 23rd Anniversary Brings Yonder, Lotus, STS9 & More to Denver

Cervantes’ 23rd Anniversary!

For more than two decades, Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom has been a heartbeat of Denver’s live music scene, anchoring historic Welton Street with a constant flow of jam, funk, hip-hop, bluegrass, and everything in between. To mark its 23rd anniversary, the beloved dual-room venue is rolling out a stacked January and February concert calendar that feels like a love letter to the “Cervs Fam.”

This year’s celebration runs across both the Ballroom and Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom’s intimate Other Side, bringing in longtime friends of the room, rising locals, and national heavy-hitters. The run kicks off January 2–3 with Trouble No More, Easy Jim, and Proving Ground, then dives straight into the deep end with SHIFT ft. Blookah (Jan 8), a two-night stand from Yonder Mountain String Band with Kyle Tuttle Band (Jan 9–10), and the return of Lotus (Jan 16–17).

Bluegrass and jamgrass fans get even more love when Kitchen Dwellers take over January 22–23 with support from Silas Herman & The Tone Unit and special guests. On January 25, livetronica titans STS9 bring their Human Dream Tour to the Ballroom, followed by a dual-venue blowout on January 30 featuring Kyle Hollingsworth Band and Dave Watts & Friends with Breadbox and Hot Like Mars.

February keeps the momentum high. On February 1, fans of the jam renaissance will zero in on Great Blue ft. Peter Anspach of Goose, with Jewel House and a Ruthie Bandit DJ set in support. Hip-hop legend Ghostface Killah storms the Ballroom on February 12, while New Orleans funk powerhouse Dumpstaphunk closes out the anniversary calendar on February 14 with the Joey Porter Trio.

Along the way, Denver fans can catch sets from Mr. Specific & Big Shrimp, Lit Society & Isaac Sinclair Wayback, Chick Magnet & Nostaljazz & Slippery When Wet, Zach Nugent’s Dead Set, Jimkata, OZZTIN, Tripp St, SHIFT ft. Midicinal, Flamingosis, ProbCause, and a powerhouse bluegrass double bill with Big Richard and Della Mae on February 7.

It’s a fitting way for one of Denver’s most important independent venues to celebrate 23 years: by doing what it’s always done best—booking wildly eclectic, dance-all-night shows for a community that proudly calls itself the Cervs Fam.
