CIRCLES AROUND THE SUN | Ogden Theatre | Saturday, March 28
Circles Around The Sun will return to Denver in 2026 for a special performance at the historic Ogden Theatre on Saturday, March 28. Tickets are available now, offering Colorado fans an early chance to catch one of the jam world’s most adventurous instrumental ensembles.
The announcement arrives as Circles Around The Sun unveil Interludes For The Dead: Volume 2—their long-anticipated follow-up to the original 2015 release created when the late Neal Casal was commissioned to compose set-break music for the Grateful Dead’s “Fare Thee Well” 50th-anniversary shows. What began as an assignment turned into a musical identity, one that has since grown into a beloved and fiercely creative improvisational outfit.
Recorded over just four days with nothing written or rehearsed ahead of time, the new album carries forward the spontaneous ethos that defined the project from the start. Every groove, melody, and sonic detour was composed on the spot and tracked immediately—little to no overdubs, no second-guessing, and nothing to dull the spark. It’s the raw, kinetic spirit that fans have come to crave from CATS, distilled once again into a fresh volume of cosmic exploration.
