Colin Hay with Men At Work on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tonight

Fronted by Colin Hay, GRAMMY Award-winning rock band Men At Work will appear tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live, performing a version of their 1982 #1 hit “Who Can It Be Now?”

The performance follows the 2025 release of Hay’s latest album, Man @ Work Volume 2, a collection of reimagined favorites spanning his career. The album revisits Men At Work classics like the reggae-inflected “Blue for You,” originally featured on the band’s 1983 album Cargo, alongside solo-era highlights such as “Into My Life,” which features drummer Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band).

Man @ Work Volume 2 serves as the follow-up to Hay’s best-selling release Man @ Work, which earned a two-star certification from the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) last year for sales exceeding 100,000 units.

Men At Work will headline a U.S. tour this summer, kicking off at the BottleRock Festival in Napa on May 22. Joining the band on the bill will be alternative rock favorites Toad the Wet Sprocket and seminal Japanese pop-punk band Shonen Knife. Ahead of the U.S. dates, the band will tour Mexico and Brazil with performances scheduled throughout April and May.

Formed in Melbourne in 1979, Men At Work rose to global prominence in the early 1980s with hits including “Down Under,” “Who Can It Be Now?,” “Be Good Johnny,” “Overkill,” and “It’s a Mistake.” The band became a GRAMMY-winning, multi-platinum success before disbanding in 1985. Shortly thereafter, Hay launched a solo career with his 1987 debut album Looking For Jack.

“Over the last few years, I have gone out on tour as Men At Work, on a quest of discovery,” Hay reflects. “To discover whether or not we still have an audience. Turns out we do—people of all ages, of all different backgrounds, who find something in the songs that brings them joy. This summer of 2026, we are happily traveling with our musical compatriots, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Shonen Knife. Very much looking forward to it.”

The current touring lineup of Men At Work includes Jimmy Branly on drums, Yosmel Montejo on bass, and SanMiguel on guitar—each originally hailing from Cuba. Rachel Mazer handles saxophone, flute, and keyboards, while Cecilia Noël contributes harmony vocals and percussion.

Men At Work have toured intermittently since 1996, most consistently beginning in 2018. Hay adds, “What has clearly stood the test of time are the songs. Forty-five years on, I still hear them in the street, on the radio, in supermarkets—they are still going strong. I would never have predicted back in 1985 that, 40 years later, I would still be fronting Men At Work—this version featuring Cubans, a Peruvian, an American, and me.”
