Their self-titled debut, out September 26, 2025 on Pyroclastic Records, showcases fearless, genre-defying interplay. Conceived by producer/poet David Breskin, the project brings together Taborn’s expansive keyboard palette, Cline’s boundary-pushing guitar, and Gilmore’s dynamic drumming for their first-ever collaboration.
The album blends originals and daring covers: Ronald Shannon Jackson’s “Nightwhistlers,” Terje Rypdal’s “Bend It,” and Wayne Shorter/Milton Nascimento’s “Diana,” alongside new works like Taborn’s “Unreal Light,” Gilmore’s “Breath,” and Cline’s multi-part “Eye Shadow Eye.” Free improvisation (“Bloomers”) anchors the set with bold, exploratory spirit.
Visuals by artist Sharon Core, reinterpreting Irving Penn’s Flowers, echo the trio’s ethos of creation and reinvention.
